WIP 4

I have done nothing this week. I must be in a winter depression and the lack of sunshine is killing me cause I don't even feel a pull to go sit in my chair in my sewing nook. So if you want to see what I have to work on click here. I'm linking this post casue maybe someone can share with me what they do they feel this way to make them want to go back in and start working again.

P.S. a little over a month untill I see these guys coming up, hopefully spring will show up in march this year.

When I don't feel like sewing or anything else for that matter, I take a nice long walk. Clears the mind, and looking at nature seems to recharge me.

Another trick to to just sit down and do some mindless sewing, throw together something small just to get you back at that machine, things will start to flow again, just need to nudge it! Feel better!

It's interesting how many bloggers have been suffering from the winter blahs. I just went through it, too. I joined a quilt along to have something to be accountable for and that was the spark I needed to get busy with some other things.
Just keep thinking of those spring flowers that will be up soon!

I second the mindless sewing tip :) I have kept a shoebox of same-size squares in my closet for about four years, and just sewed them into pairs when I didn't know what else to work on. It is also good for a mental break when you have a project that you are having trouble with. pretty flowers to look forward to :)

When I suffer from "Quilter's Block"' I usually try to make a small project that comes together really quickly, like a zippered pouch or so. Then I feel the instant gratification of having a handmade thing that's right in front of me, finished and ready to use/admire/give as a gift to someone. I also just started a blog, and discovered that this keeps me sewing, too. If I don't sew, I don't have anything to blog about...
Hope you get your mojo back soon!

It's the time of year, but I agree with taking on a small, easy project. Your MOJO will come back...we're all cheering for you.
